Email marketing is a subject that is often talked about here at Copper Bay Creative. Not only amongst ourselves, but also with many of our clients. Some are looking for ways to crack the technique of email marketing for their business, and others simply looking for advice on how they can grow their online presence through using it.
With the rise of online shopping, more businesses are using email marketing to their advantage to gain more online sales, which should then results in more traffic to their website. Something that we definitely encourage our customers to do.
We’re pretty sure that most of us receive at least one email a day from the big national shops such as Amazon and Tescos, telling us about their latest big wine sale or this season’s new book launches – But how do they manage to get you clicking on that email?
Many online marketing experts believe that 2015 will be the year of more simplistic designs to capture the consumer’s attention, resulting in them spending money. A report by Nielsen stated “Shoppers don’t engage – They just buy!”

So, how is your business going to make that statement through email marketing? Our advice? Be BOLD! Make your design clean, fresh and structured.
Another tip would be to make your message clear. Why would the person reading that email want that product or service? What’s in it for them?
A great email campaign uses the language your customers use, and clearly explains what the product can do for them.
Our final tip would be to be consistent, and you can use your brand to do this. This way the email will run smoothly, and the reader will subconsciously be taking in your brand’s image and may be able to recognise you in the future.
