TRADERS TO BENEFIT FROM NEW UPLANDS MARKET WEBSITE
Traders at Uplands Market are benefitting from a brand new website that allows them to book their stall and create an online profile for free thanks to a local creative services company.
Copper Bay Creative, the Swansea-based full service creative company, has designed, built and is the main sponsor of the market’s new website, which also has a bespoke management system integrated into it.
Previously, the management of the monthly street market, held on the last Saturday of every month in Gwydr Square, was done manually using spreadsheets.
Using this new online tool, traders can now register for the market, create a directory profile and manage their stall bookings. The aim is to create better engagement with the public and other community markets.
Ben Wheeler and Matt Pugh are co-directors of Copper Bay Creative.
Wheeler said: “It is great that we have been fortunate enough to sponsor the new website for Uplands Market in Swansea. Not only have we done this, we have also created a new management system for them so it will be easier for them to manage the businesses within the market.”
Being a local resident and seeing the benefit to the community is why Copper Bay Creative wanted to sponsor the new website.
Pugh said: “We have aided the Uplands Market greatly with the new management system. It is more accessible for traders who can now manage stall bookings amongst other things with the click of the mouse.”
Uplands Market is a monthly street market held in Uplands, Swansea, which sells a wide range of local produce from hand-made items to fresh food. It is held on the last Saturday of every month in Gwydr Square.
Copper Bay Creative was formed by the merger of three separate firms earlier this year: Beach Software, a web development company; Star in a Jar, a creative design business; and That Printing Company, a specialist niche printing business.
