Vicki’s 2-year work-anniversary!

This month our lovely and talented Digital Marketing Lead, Vicki, is celebrating her 2nd year working at copper day digital. In this post, we ask her a few questions about the last 2 years and ✨some fun facts✨ about her…

About Vicki at Copper Bay

1. What made you apply to Copper Bay?

I applied for the position because I wanted to broaden my experience and challenge myself further in the field of marketing. With my previous experience in in-house marketing, I was eager to explore the world of agency marketing and work with a diverse range of clients across different industries.

I love the experience so far, the variety of clients and services we offer keeps everything exciting. It also presents new challenges to tackle. It’s been a great opportunity for me to grow my skill set and gain a wider perspective on marketing. I’m grateful to be part of such a great team!

2. Do you remember your first day?

I do! I actually accidentally went to the wrong office which coincidentally also had a new hire starting that day. The rest of the day was thankfully less eventful with most of it being spent meeting the team and learning about current clients.

3. How has your job changed over the years?

I feel like my job has massively changed in one aspect, but at the same time, there are a lot of similarities. I started primarily managing client accounts from an account perspective, however, now I’m much more involved in the strategy and delivery of services.

4. What has been your most significant achievement/success?

I’m lucky to have had a lot of big wins for a number of clients over the last 2 years. But I would say the most significant is working with a startup to build their organic presence. It took a lot of strategy, carefully constructed content and planning, but their SEO has been hugely improved.

Viewing data from Search Console over the last 3 months they were ranking in the top 5 for 236 search terms, and 1,002 search terms in the top 10. On top of this, organic traffic is also the biggest provider of monthly users, making up 46.05% of the monthly total.

5. What’s your favourite part of the job?

I like getting to work with a range of different businesses in a variety of sectors. This means that I get to work with a lot of different interesting businesses, which each have their own challenges.

6. How can people come to you for help and what can you help with best?

I’d like to think I was quite approachable! The things that people normally come to me for are usually related to SEO, content, client management or social media.

Now the fun questions…

1. Tell us something about you that might surprise people.

This might be surprising as I have over 20 Christmas t-shirts or jumpers, but Halloween is my favourite holiday.

2. Would you rather be always cold or always hot?

I much prefer being cold. That way you get to wear a comfy jumper and drink a hot cup of tea.
